ADDIS ABABA — THE ETHIOPIAN HERALD Newspaper 3 May 2016: The Ethiopian Patriots Association announced that it has planned to build a museum and library.
Association President Lij Daniel Jote said the Association prioritizes construction of a museum and library in order to properly organize and maintain history of patriots and create ideal environment for those interested in studying.

Lij Daniel said that realization of the plan will create a fertile ground to bring historical artifacts and documents related to the life and works of the patriots together.

Forming such a hub creates good opportunity for researchers who want to differentiate between historical fictions and facts. The library will contribute share to developing reading culture, he said.
The President noted that the Association has already filed its request for 740 meter square of land to Addis Ababa City Administration.

“Given the unreserved support the Association has been receiving from the government and the city administration in the past, we hope to get the land very soon,” he said.

If its request gets the needed response, the Association hopes to build the museum and library at the back of its office building in Arat Kilo.

The Association has been conducting fund-raising through lottery with SMS applications. The lottery was drawn yesterday.
