Foreign Affairs State Minister Taye Atske-selassie has said setting up strong partnership between the government and the Ethiopian community in Saudi Arabia is essential to address challenges they are facing.
Ambassador Taye today held talks with members of the Ethiopian community in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The State Minister discussed with Ethiopians and foreigners of Ethiopian origin on the challenges they are facing and integrated approaches to deal with the challenges.
He called for more effort to ensure the rights and benefits of Ethiopians living and working in Saudi Arabia.
Ethiopians also received briefings about the latest discussion between Ethiopian and Saudi officials to curb illegal migration and decisions to resort to skilled labor exchanges.
The discussion between the state minister and Ethiopians also included current happenings in the country in which Ambassador Taye extend his appreciation to the role the Ethiopian community has been playing to support development back in their home country
