Members of the Ethiopian Peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) Council have begun evaluating performance of the reform programs carried out during the past 15 years.

According to a statement EPRDF office sent to FBC today, the Council began the evaluation in the presence of pertinent high level officials.

The evaluation focuses on reinforcing the ongoing renaissance journey by maintaining the momentum of past successes and addressing the challenges faced during the reform program, it said.

After conducting in-depth evaluation, the Council is expected to pass decisions which could help to effectively address the root causes of problems being observed, the statement indicated.

The Council is expected to put directions which would help maximize strengths and rectify weaknesses. It will also approve party and government’s plan for this Ethiopian budget year.
