In a press conference he gave on current issue today, Abay, who is also Chairperson of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), said TPLF and the Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM) will shortly resolve the problem through dialogue.

“The people of Tigary and Amhara are a blood-tied people who have a strong relation. Yesterday, the fought to oust the Derg regime and today, they are fighting jointly to defeat poverty,” he said.

Hence, the agenda of anti-peace forces, which targets to split people of the two regional states, won’t be successful, he added.

The two regional states will work together to solve the border-related problem with in a short period of time, he added.

No one has so far come up with question related to identity of Wolkite. However, if the question comes, the regional state will look into it, the Chief Administrator said.
