Deputy Chairperson of EPRDF, Demeke Mekonen said during the discussion that the two countries are enjoying strong partnership in political, economical as well as international relations.
He expressed his party’s keenness to learn from the best practices of the Chinese government and the CPC and stated EPRDF’s commitment to consolidate the relationship.
He noted that the strong ties between the two parties have played pivotal role in boosting partnership and relationship between the two countries.
Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC, Xu Lyuping told journalists that they have exchanged ideas on ways of strengthening the ties between the parties and the countries as well.
She said that the parties have seen very strong development both in party-to-party and state-to-state relations.
“The relationship between CPC and EPRDF is very strong since the establishment of our relationship many years back,” she said, adding, “We have seen productive development, relationship with continuing and diversifying of content in our partnership.”
She recalled that the partnership between the two countries has transformed into a compressive strategic level, heralding a new chapter in the bilateral ties.
The two sides have also exchanged views on ways of implementing the Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) signed between the parties in capacity building.
The ruling parties of the two countries were signed the MoU during the visit of Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao in 2016.
