House Approves 3 Draft Proclamations, Refers 2 to Standing Committee

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) has approved 3 draft proclamations and referred 2 to the relevant standing committees today.

The approved proclamations were Forestry Development, Conservation and Utilization, and Federal Civil Servants as well as on additional financing agreement between Ethiopia and the International Development Association.

The House referred the draft proclamations on the establishment of Ethiopian Geospatial Information Agency and the loan agreement between Ethiopia and the French Development Agency for the modernization and relocation of Addis Ababa Abattoirs Enterprise to the pertinent standing committees for further scrutiny.

Among the approved draft bills, the agreement on additional financing agreement between Ethiopia and the International Development Association provides additional loan amounting 431 million SDR for enhancing shared prosperity through equitable services program.

The agreement helps to improve equitable access to basic services and strengthen accountability systems at the decentralized level, it was learned.
