Addis Ababa Political parties negotiating on the anti-terrorism proclamation

The ruling Ethiopian Peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) and opposition political parties on Friday launched negotiations on the anti-terrorism proclamation.

Opposition political parties raised issues on the proclamation, which they say are affecting their activities.

The parties commented that some of the articles consider global aspects and do not take into account local situations.

EPRDF argued that the proclamation was crafted based on research incorporating global best practices.
